Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was a child prodigy. For a child with Irish origin, and surrounded by gifted parents and family members, they had innate talents. Maureen was welcomed into the family-oriented house on August 17th, 20 in Ranelagh. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons is her mom. She was a skilled contralto. Charles FitzSimons managed a Dublin-based firm and also owned a stake in "The Shamrock Rovers," an eminent Irish soccer squad. Maureen was the third of six FitzSimons children - Peggy, Florrie, Charles B. Fitzsimons, Margot Fitzsimons and James O'Hara completed this beautiful family. Maureen was an athletic natural and was a fan of tough athletic games. In addition to this her talent, she also had a knack to act. In the end, she was awarded almost all of the Feis Awards for acting and dramatic performances in her country of birth. The Abbey Theater was her first choice. Abbey Theater by age 14, and she pursued her dreams of operatic as well as classical theatre and singing.
