Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25 of 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. She managed to make it on her student stipend and work part-time jobs. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy about her performances as compared to the performance of her peers. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976, when she joined the group called Dragons Playground. The group didn't get to compete in the competition for talent New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980, she sang in The Tourists. A British pop group. That was also where she came across Dave Stewart with whom she formed the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work with Diva in 1992, her first solo album. This album became a huge hit as well as selling and critical acclaim.
